To iPhone or To Android? That is the question…
So iPhone and Android seem to be the hip cellular platforms that will be with us for the next few years (so much for Windows Mobile, eh?). It kinda sucks, because I’ve been a huge Symbian fan for years and have been bitterly disappointed by the lack of the slick apps that the iPhone has been getting. Meanwhile, Android is starting to pick up steam, and DOES get the cool apps (well, they’re starting to, anyway).
I have an issue with Apple. I love the way that all of their hardware and software works seamlessly together, but the bottom line is that I don’t really plan to switch all of my PCs to Macs, and therefore will have interoperability issues between Apple and other devices.
That’s really basically the only reason that it looks like I’m going to go for Android which would, presumably, have better interoperability with my other Microsoft and Linux based devices (Symbian won’t be an issue to inter-operate with anymore, I guess). Now I just need to find a phone – preferably with 2 SIMs…
I’ve made a deal with myself to get an iphone or android when it has a teleport, helecopter & can sweep and mop the floors.
Nice to see someone who has not put all his eggs in one basket.
I have not used Windows since Win2000, switching to Linux is the best thing I have done.
I now use various versions of Linux depending on what I am doing on the computer.
